Simple Braided Hairstyles For Girls

Simple Braided Hairstyles For Girls – I love doing my girls hair. Now that I have two bonus daughters, I get to do the little girls hair almost every day! It’s so much fun to experiment and find what works for them and their hair. We all have a lot of fun with new hairstyles. Today I want to share some easy boxer braids for little girls that I recently made for my step daughter Molly.

I think Dutch boxer braids are one of the easiest braids to learn for beginners. They are simple braids but they can look great on different types of hair. Also, I like to twist the finished Dutch braid a bit to give the braids more volume and interest.

Molly has fine hair so keeping it in braids can be difficult. But we’ve found that doing two braids instead of one helps keep that beautiful hair in place. Also, if you keep the first few crossovers tight, that baby hair will help keep it where you want it.

Beautiful Braid Hairstyles ThatÍll Liven Up Your Hair Routine

For this boxer braid look with Molly’s thin hair, I started by dividing her hair into two sections and securing one side to keep it out of my way. You see, I didn’t take him down properly. This is due to the way her hair falls naturally. Don’t be afraid to switch parts of your hair when making 2 braids! It can have a very nice finished look. Also, it’s a great way to contain any breakouts that may occur.

To make Dutch braids with easy boxer braids for little girls, you need to take a section of hair and divide it into 3 strands. Take one of the outer strands and sew it under the middle thread. Repeat with the other outer thread.

One thing to note – Dutch braiding is done by pulling the outer strands of the three strands of your braid under the middle strand. This is different from a ‘regular’ or French braid, where you pull the outer strands over the middle strands. Here’s how to get the raised braid look in a boxer dutch braid.

As you braid the outer strands under the middle strand, add new sections of hair to the outer strands to add more hair to your braid. Repeat as you continue down the length of the hair.

Secure the ends of your braid with a small elastic band. (For my favorite hair accessories and products, check out this article.)

For more volume, fullness and fun – burn your Dutch braids! To do this, hold the end of your finished braid with one hand and pull the “stitch” of the braid with just a touch. Don’t pull your braids so far that you remove them completely, pull them out just enough so that the braids look full and loose. This is easier to do with thick hair, but you can still do this with fine hair.
